Jane West is Sr. VP for Policy, Programs and Professional Issues at the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE). She served as Staff Director for the US Senate Subcommittee on Disability Policy in the 1980's under the chairmanship of Sen. Lowell P. Weicker, Jr. She holds a Ph.D. in special education from the University of Maryland.
